HELP IS ON THE WAY, A NONPROFIT THAT MADE FREE DELIVERIES OF ESSENTIAL ITEMS TO KUPUNA AND OTHER VULNERABLE PEOPLE SO THEY MAY STAY SAFELY AT HOME DURING THE PANDEMIC, HAS ACHIEVED ITS OBJECTIVE AND CEASES OPERATIONS

As of June 15, 2021, Help Is On The Way has achieved its mission and thus ceased operations. Help Is On The Way was founded on March 22, 2020, with the goal of delivering food and other essential items to our kupuna and other vulnerable people, so that they may stay safely at home during the pandemic. Now that (a) several vaccines have been made widely available to kupuna age 65 and over, and to other vulnerable people, (b) Hawaii has one of the highest vaccine rates in the world, (c) the vaccines have proven highly effective, and (d) the State is opening up and restrictions are being relaxed based on science, our mission has been accomplished after 15 months of continuous service.

Help Is On The Way has been a completely grassroots operation, and did not or seek any funding. 100% of our services were provided by volunteers.  Greg Kim, co-founder and President of Help Is On The Way, says: “Our volunteers have loved their work, helping those in need, and have been touched by so many wonderful clients whom we have been privileged to serve.”

NOTICE: Help Is On The Way ceased operations on June 15th 2021.
